Oxfordshire Artweeks is the UK’s oldest and biggest artist open studios & pop-up exhibition event, running for over 40 years!

In the town we call home, Watlington Oxfordshire, from the 18th to the 27th May you can enjoy a huge range of creative activity by artists, makers and designers in artists' studios, pop-up galleries, glorious gardens, ancient churches and other beautiful venues. For the 3rd year running we will be returning to the beautiful Tree Barn at Christmas Common! The owners of the Tree Barn have generously invited us back again this year to have a Food Stall and Bar on site for the duration of Artweek where we will be offering beautiful, seasonal, artisanal food & drink each day and our exceptionally popular evenings of long table dining Supper Clubs!

Food Stall & Bar

Each day of Artweek (Saturday 18th & Sunday 19th May and Tuesday 21st to Sunday 26th May) we will be at the Tree Barn from 12noon to 6pm offering delicious hot drinks, chilled drinks and cheeky tipples, beautiful sweet and savoury delights for lunch, all handmade by ourselves in Watlington for you to enjoy whilst you explore the amazing artists exhibiting at the Tree Barn! We will be taking payments on the day by cash and card (inc. contactless) and there will be plenty of places to sit down to enjoy your food and drink!

Supper Club

On Friday 24th and Saturday 25th we will also be returning with our fantastically popular Long Table Supper Clubs! These will take place from 7pm in the Barn where you will be able to enjoy a wonderful Three Course Meal surrounded by some of the sensational art work on display! Our bar will also run through the evening for drinks to accompany your meal.

The Suppers will be held on long shared tables and are designed to be a unique, relaxed, social, community-building dining experience focused around wonderful food experiences. So whether you would like to join us as a couple, a small group or would just like to come alone, the shared tables will ensure everyone has a wonderful time!

the menu

We have chosen to take the unique opportunity which Artweek affords us to express the deeply personal connection we have to the food we cook and this year's menu will be inspired by the beautiful food culture of Malta! We visited the breathtaking island for a close family wedding last September and were moved to starting writing menus almost immediately, inspired by the eclectic food of this Mediterranean island nation and we are so excited to share this menu with you!

Whether you can come and sample some of our food from our stall during the day or join us for one of our Supper Clubs, we really hope you will have the chance to support the amazing community project that Artweeks is!

We hired Gravy & Custard for a TV production in Huntercombe, and they were fantastic caterers to work with! Each day, they delivered exceptional hot food. Multiple departments across the production frequently praised their cooking, including Executive Producers who are highly experienced in the food sector, and every day the food was delivered on time. Gravy & Custard were also incredibly flexible with their menu options, despite our constraints and budget limits, and were able to produce a variety of delicious meals each day. I'd highly recommend them and will definitely be working with them again!

Crumble Shack provided catering for St Catherine's College Ball, their service was friendly, professional and speedy to feed 2000 guests! Our guests loved the food and how fresh, warm
and delicious it was! The choice of flavors was exceptional and I'd recommend them to anyone looking to treat their guests to something comforting and super tasty!

What can we say - The food for our wedding from Gravy & Custard was absolutely outstanding and delicious! Many of our guests couldn’t stop raving about how the pies were the best they had ever eaten! The crumble was so yummy and again our guests couldn't get over the flavours. Our particular favourite was the evening platters and the falafel! They were so yummy I asked for us to take a box home! Huge thanks from the bottom of our heart - you made our day so magical!

What Daniel and his family team achieved on the day was out of this world. The shack set up looked amazing and we were blown away by the exceptional quality of the food and our vision was met 100%. Daniel and his family worked like Trojans and went above and beyond, even standing outside to cover up the open top wedding car during a brief hail storm.

Whenever our guests talk about our wedding they always comment on the amazing food. Our wedding was the best day of our lives and we can't thank Daniel and his team enough for helping make our day absolutely perfect.
